The Commodity Specialist - Indirect Sourcing will be responsible for various activities related to Request for Quotes, order fulfillment, supplier management, purchase order management, Accounts Payable reconciliation, expediting orders, etc. He/She will work to achieve deflation in addition to productivity project savings by working with strategic suppliers & stakeholder groups and leading negotiations, spend consolidation, and improving efficiencies & processes.
Essential Responsibilities: - Execution of strategies that deliver a competitive advantage driving the strategic sourcing initiatives & the strategic commodity plan. This includes supplier selection, development, and supplier consolidation to ensure sourcing optimization and overall supplier performance - As a Sourcing Commodity Specialist in charge, execute across the purchase base, with full accountability for meeting deflation (savings), cash and preferred supplier targets - Ownership of the day-to-day execution of transactional procurement processes - Convert purchase requisitions into purchase orders and manage the purchase orders until closed - Work with requestors/suppliers to manage supplier day-to-day problem resolution - Drive assigned site specific projects agreed with indirect site sourcing leader. Manage the complete buy with compliance, quality, delivery and cost expectation - Shall work & executed with strong process responsibility to develop complex and comprehensive supplier/buyer contractual relationships to meet the business needs - Work Cross-functional with the Global Operations Team, Legal, Finance, Facility, EHS, … for processes and bring in quick closures, which are related to sourcing CTQ - Driving business productivity metrics affected by indirect sourcing, ensuring accuracy, identifying new areas of opportunity to drive cost out, implement operating efficiency or improve productivity - Conduct e-Auctions - Coordinate and negotiate Master Services Agreements (MSA)
Qualifications/Requirements: - Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college - Significant professional experience in sourcing or similar - Strong oral and written communication and negotiation skills (German, English) - You have very good computer skills (MS Office) and ideally experience with Oracle eBusiness Suite - Demonstrate ability to interact effectively at all levels of organization - Integrity and compliance mindset - You are used to work analytically and goal-oriented, to actively drive improvements and to bring the tasks demanded of them to a successful conclusion - Excellent time management, prioritization skills - Work permit for Austria is a prerequisite for this position
Due to legal regulations in Austria, we are committed to a minimum salary of 1.450 €/month.
