Primary responsibilities include modeling, configuration and delivery of GE P&amp;W’s thermal performance monitoring &amp; Industrial Internet analytic suite. These studies will often involve working in a cross functional team environment. Essential Responsibilities Deliver thermodynamic performance monitoring, controls and optimization solutions that meet the specific needs of our power industry customers. Configure, install, validate, and provide ongoing support for the online performance monitoring and diagnostic systems. Knowledge of ASME and PTC codes for plant performance. Use GateCycleTM software to configure thermal models to support the requisition of GE suite of thermal performance monitoring systems and big data/industrial internet initiatives. Perform engineering studies for Gas Turbine, Steam Turbine and Combined Cycle plant performance. Assist plant engineers in monitoring equipment performance, investigating potential performance and operational problems, and providing recommendations to maximize plant net revenue. Knowledge &amp; Experience Analytics development &amp; Platforms (Matlab, Python) Engineering support for business programs (FastWorks, Simplification, cross functional engineering initiatives, etc.) Assist in development of new technologies and procedures, which will help improve the product and reduce delivery time. Train plant personnel on use of performance monitoring systems. Travel to domestic and foreign power plants (10-25%). Qualifications/Requirements Bachelors degree in Mechanical/Chemical Engineering or equivalent. Significant industry experience [energy and/or oil &amp; gas industry] in the areas of thermal performance evaluation, advanced process control, thermal performance testing or a combination of these. Self-starter with knowledge of thermal performance and operation of power plants and power plant equipment. Strong analytical skills working independently and in a team. Excellent written and oral communication skills to convey technical concepts to business and technical personnel. According to Austrian law job postings need to include the minimum salary for a position. For this position the minimum salary based on the collective agreement is EURO 3.008,65 gross monthly. Please note that this is the very minimum salary and will most likely be higher. The effective salary is based on the candidate’s Qualification and Experience and will be negotiated accordingly. Familiarity with testing and measurement systems and with data interpretation. Linear programming / optimization Experience in a cross functional environment Experience working with customers. Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering Green Belt certified (GE Employees only).
