Senior Consolidation Specialist (m/f)

Responsibilities

• Full responsibility for group consolidation incl. maintaining/owning group chart of accounts and consolidation system
• Managing/monitoring data delivery processes from subsidiaries incl. quality checks
• Implementing and managing a reliable inter-company account reconciliation process
• Preparing consolidation (capital consolidation, i/c inter profit elimination, income and expense elimination)
• Preparing group financial statements incl. balance sheet, P&L statement and indirect cash flow statements
• Preparing group financial disclosure process (collecting notes and written report) and progression schedules for group accounts (equity, fixed assets, accruals etc.)
• Managing first consolidations of newly acquired group entities, if necessary in co-operation with external advisors for complex PPA determinations
• Documenting and improving consolidation processes
• Supporting group tax department for transfer pricing and CbCR
• Acting as direct contact for group financial auditors
• Driving and supporting improvement measures for ERP systems to improve data basis for increased automation of consolidation (I/C billing process with partner codes, using movement types in ERP, etc.)
• Responsibility for implementation of new consolidation system (together with consultants)
• Support the set-up and maintenance of the internal IFRS accounting manual and assessing the implications (e.g. disclosures/notes, accounting processes) of and implementing new IFRS standards
• Important team member for implementation of IFRS with EUR as reporting currency (from currently US-GAAP in USD)

Requirements

• Qualified Accountant (“Bilanzbuchhalter/in”) and/or Bachelor/Master in Business with focus on Accounting
• Profound experience in group accounting of a complex multinational group or an internationally recognized audit company (preferably Big 4) supporting group audits
• Experience with at least one consolidation system (Hyperion Financial Management preferred)
• Experience with M&A transactions (first consolidation, deconsolidation, PPAs, group restructurings)
• Experience with ERP systems (Oracle preferred)
• Experience with US-GAAP and IFRS (UGB a plus)
• Proficient in MS Excel
• Fluent in English Language
