Essential Responsibilities:

  • Group taxation lead and oversight; reporting and planning requirements and the role is key for forecasting the tax charge, cashflows and provisions for consolidated group budget
  • Support M&A, post deal integration, other group tax planning activities
  • Intercompany funding taxation & PE fund tax activities, profit repatriation
  • Oversight of Austrian partnership tax structure/calculation of Distributed Power business for statutory tax purposes
  • Implement tax structuring & other tax relevant planning ideas (e.g. funding, sale and leaseback deal structures)
  • Support FP&A team with ETR analysis for financial forecasts, including identifying risks and opportunities as well as cash impact to the business
  • Provide support on cash repatriation/dividend distribution
  • First point of contact with Austrian tax authority
  • Contribute to deal advising from an Austrian point of view; ensure Tax coverage for US tax by hiring an US tax specialist or ensure outsource Tax services for the US part
  • Responsible for managing the Group’s tax compliance, reporting and planning requirements and the role is key for forecasting the tax charge, cashflows and provisions for consolidated group budget
  • Work with advisers to recommend and implement appropriate Tax structuring for the Group, with a need to reorganize the Group's loan structure
  • Proactively address tax audit risks and manage company responses to tax audit findings

Qualifications and Responsibilities:

  • Profile with the aim to increase and enhance efficiency of Tax reporting and compliance
  • A strong background in international corporate tax together with excellent communication skills, with a preference for having worked in a similar position
  • Excellent Tax knowledge but does not need to be an expert relating to all Tax matters as the group includes VAT, CIT, TP experts and might leverage external advisory for US Tax.
  • Working with private equity owned companies is advantageous
  • Hands on and able to see the larger picture
  • Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal, research analysis and problem-solving skills
  • Communicate with impact to key partners, including tax authorities and internal senior management across internal functions
  • Ability to evaluate complex proposals and anticipate, identify, and resolve tax-related risks and opportunities
  • Experience working in a matrix environment
  • Adaptable/flexible: open to change in response to new information, different or unexpected circumstances
  • Integrity: Accepting and adhering to high moral, ethical, and personal values in decisions, communications, actions
  • Strong analytical and planning and organizing skills along with the ability to think and act strategically
  • Good understanding of ERP systems functionality (Oracle / SAP), and Tax engine solutions (One Source Indirect, Sabrix, VAT reporting tools)
  • Significant years of progressing TAX experience for Austria and preferable also international
