Training Design & Development Manager (m/f)

  • Lead the training design & development team within the global recip engines Training CoE and introduce world class product training programs for all Waukesha and Jenbacher product lines 
  • Identify training needs within the organization through regular consultation with all relevant business areas and build product technical skills for the GE Distributed Power recip engines technical product portfolio 
  • Provide leadership for the successful execution of complex training design & development projects based on organizational and individual’s needs 
  • Serve as the focal point and leader to facilitate on-time completion of project deliverables from engineering, field service and other areas of the organization 
  • Ensure instructor preparedness when new training products are introduced 
  • Benchmark internal and external organization and implement latest training tools and concepts for the entire recip engines product portfolio and leverage synergies with other parts within GE 
  • Evaluation of the success of training and development programs and development of training quantity and quality metrics 
  • Commercialize new contemporary training concepts in teamwork with commercial teams 
  • Develop and implement customer training programs that include EHS, professional skills and technology specific materials 
  • Work and communicate with all internal and external stakeholders to continuously improve training related programs, processes and procedures 
  • Help to identify new or additional training needs based on the feedback from stakeholders 
  • Make sure all compliance, integrity and EHS guidelines are continuously followed



  • Master’s degree in Learning & Development or similar from an accredited university or college; alternatively bachelor’s degree in Learning & Development or similar from an accredited university or college and a minimum of three years in a similar role with proven track record 
  • Demonstrated leadership skills in comparable role and ability to work and influence in a matrix organization 
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate, energize & manage local and remote teams 
  • Strong focus on customer satisfaction and able to co-operate with others at all levels and times demonstrating strong teamwork 
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written in German and English language  
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to design and follow comprehensive process landscapes 
  • Candidate must be able to work independently and proactively and be able to cope with changing priorities 
  • Able to work under pressure and meet agreed timelines 
  • Willingness to travel internationally 

According to Austrian law job postings need to include the minimum salary for a position. For this position the minimum salary based on the collective agreement is EURO 3008.65 gross monthly. Please note that this is the very minimum salary and will most likely be higher. The effective salary is based on the candidate’s Qualification and Experience and will be negotiated accordingly.
