What does working as a Network Engineer entail?

As a Network Engineer (m/f), you are challenging our firewall solution and the entire software development process. You are passionate about revealing well-hidden bugs and gaps in complex systems. Together with the software engineering team, you continuously improve our product in terms of performance, functionality and security and ensure the high quality standard that our customers expect. For that, you are involved in the entire development process, from the initial idea to release.
The product we develop is a central element of the company offer for corporate clients and is used daily by dozen thousands of administrators in small companies, as well as large multinational corporations that are leaders in their fields. Our impact is truly “global”.

Working areas

We are working in the fields of network security, cloud technologies, automation, IoT environments and as those areas expand gradually everyone will find a place where they can become an expert.

Where we work

We work at the Barracuda branches in Innsbruck and Vienna. Depending on the team size, we sit either in small offices or in an open space where you can be rest assured that nothing important goes by without you knowing about it.

Are you cut out for the job?

You have excellent problem solving skills mixed with a good eye for detail. A fluent level of English language is also not a showstopper for you and you are more than willing to dedicate yourself to learn the product.

It is important for us that you already bring experience with network technology/-security, Linux and that you have a structured working style. You should be a team player and a Python, Bash or other scripting language knowledge would be very welcome.

The minimum annual salary for this position is EUR 33.000,00. The actual salary will be determined based on your professional experience and qualifications.
